Gold42 ghee – a new way of looking at an ancient food
We looked at the goodness of organic grass-fed ghee with modern eyes and created Original, Garlic & Herb, Chilli & Lemon and a ‘Tasmanian special’ with wild harvested pepperberries and kunzea with organic jalapeno, and two sweet creations Golden Caramel and Chocolate.
Our products have a long shelf-life of up to 12 months providing they are kept free from moisture and other food elements. We recommend you store our ghee below 25 degrees Celsius in a dark place. After opening, you can keep in the fridge in order to retain quality, flavour and consistency. As with coconut oil, ghee can exist in either liquid or solid form depending on the temperature. It may sometimes appear grainy, as the fatty acids solidify at different stages. All this is normal and natural, with quality and flavour retained.
We infuse natural real flavour elements into our ghee range. Some of these may settle to the bottom of jars if the ghee liquifies. Melt the ghee and stir to combine the ingredients evenly as the ghee solidifies.
