Ghee is butter made better. It is a rich, delicious and healthy alternative to butter and cooking oils – and is an ancient superfood. We make it by clarifying butter down to its purest form, removing water, lactose and milk solids. It is used to enrich dishes with a delicious buttery, nutty-sweet flavour and is a core nourishing element in Ayurvedic and other healing practices. Ghee is a tasty and versatile cooking fat that will transform your cooking.

No artificial colours – No artificial flavours – No additives – No preservatives – No GMO – No added sugar

Creating gold standard ghee

Above you can see our ghee in its freshly made 'oil' state prior to it cooling and becoming solid.

We lovingly hand craft ghee using a traditional process which removes water, lactose and milk proteins from Australian organic grass-fed butter using a 4-level filter process, resulting in a nutty, caramel-like golden oil. We source organic grass-fed dairy to create the most flavour and nourishment possible.

High temperature stable

It has a very high smoke point of 250 degrees C (more than butter) making it ideal for high temperature cooking such as frying, sautéing and roasting without its chemical structure changing.

A small amount goes a long way

Even a small amount of ghee will enhance the flavour of your creative cooking – a teaspoon of ghee equals a tablespoon of butter.

Shelf stable

Ghee is shelf stable. It can last for 12 months without refrigeration in temperatures below 25 degrees C.

A healthy fat for healthy bodies

Fats have made a comeback, and ghee is prominent among them. It is a nourishing and delicious alternative to regular butter and vegetable oils. You can use it as a cooking oil wherever you would use butter or oil: cooking vegetables, curries, dal, meat, pastries or desserts and sauces – and it is high temperature stable.

Ayurveda

Valued in ayurvedic tradition for supporting all the tissues of the body and its balancing effect on the body and metabolism. Ghee aids healthy digestion and assimilation of nutrients.

Omega-3 source

Omega-3 fatty acids in ghee can help decrease unhealthy cholesterol in the body.

Energy booster

Ghee contains medium-chain fatty acids, which can be processed and burned as energy, thereby not contributing to weight gain.

Reduce inflammation

Ghee contains butyric acid – a beneficial short-chain fatty acid that has been shown to decrease inflammation in parts of the body, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract.

Antioxidant activity

The antioxidant capacity of ghee’s conjugated linoleic acid, butyric acid and vitamin A provides potentially powerful anti-cancer qualities.

Immune system booster

Butyric acid is associated with the stimulation of T-cell production in the immune system.

Vitamins

Contains significant levels of vitamin A, D, E and K particularly when made from premium grass-fed milk.
