We settled in the Huon Valley Tasmania in 2014 feeling somewhat burned out after 25 years living in the hustle and bustle of Sydney, raising a family and running a prominent branding & communication business, which often seemed like a 24/7 commitment. As a complete lifestyle change Tasmania has fitted the bill. Here in our rural acres ‘midst the apple and cherry orchards, clean air, pristine water, abundant wildlife and friendly folk, we feel re-energised with new interests, new entrepreneurial spirit and new determination to contribute to this wonderful land.

Tasmania is very food and produce oriented and is possibly the most fertile and clean growing environment in Australia. After much research, underpinned by Lyn’s Indian family background, we determined there was a huge opportunity to champion accelerating interest in ghee – the new superfood emerging from demands for healthy and sustainable cooking fats. And so was born Golden Heart Ghee, now rebranded as Gold42. Despite being a small community, we soon found a welcoming and collaborative spirit amongst the multitudes of entrepreneurial Tasmanian business owners who have provided us with much insight and assistance to get our business up and moving. Now it’s our turn to return the favour.
